If this is your first time visiting our site, allow us to take this opportunity to describe our church. It is always a challenge to help someone get a feel for a place they have not seen or visited. But the following description may help you get some idea about who we are.
We are a traditional, conservative Southern Baptist church. Although we have a modern sanctuary (our current building was built in 2006), we still use hymnals, have a choir, offer Sunday School for all ages, and preach biblically based messages.
We have a strong emphasis on missions, in our neighborhood, our country, and internationally. We actively reach out in many ways to show and declare the gospel to the people of the world. We serve, share, and send so that others might come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Our members do missions at home, go on mission trips elsewhere, serve on disaster relief teams, and participate in Campers on Mission among other things.
We understand the church is only doing its job if it is making disciples (producing mature followers of Jesus). Our goal is to make disciples who love God and love and serve others. We are committed to helping every person find their place in the people of God and the plan of God, growing in their faith and participating fully in the mission.
It will come as no surprise that we invite you to visit us, but our greatest desire is that you find the peace and fulfillment of knowing Christ as your Savior; and experience the joy of serving God with your whole heart.
